E-bike Switch

Whether you're a delivery rider or run a fleet of mopeds for your business, the Zero Emissions Network can support the transition to electric bikes.

E-bikes have great benefits including reduced costs, improved health, less noise and air pollution as well as improved journey time. As e-bikes are legally classed as bicycles, riders can save money on tax, insurance and CBT as none of these are required. Riders can also enjoy the benefits of filtering through traffic and off-road cycle networks.

Support for businesses

The Zero Emissions Network has worked with Steer Group to produce a comprehensive toolkit of guidance for businesses looking to make the switch. Use the toolkit to find the right e-bike model for your business, understand best practice on cycle training and schedule regular e-bike maintenance.

The toolkit is available to any business free of charge. Email zen@hackney.gov.uk to request a copy.
